You could be the next victim! - 'Ransomware' - It is real!

There is growing rate of ransomware infection in computers, laptops and mobile these days.

Some of our customers are contacting us for a possible data recovery and reinstating the machine into previous condition.  And every day we are hearing infection news in our fraternity. Many organizations and individual data got compromised or hacked.

All our customers are warned about this deadly malware which are made by foreign hacking groups to exhort /loot money from people and organizations in return of their valuable data.

Data of the 'Ransomware' infected system will be in an encrypted form and so will not be readable. Name of the files itself will be in changed condition.
There will be messages in the system advising us to pay ransom money in dollars or in bit coins to some foreign account. And after paying the money they will be provide codes to decrypt the data.

There is no guarantee that we will get the data back in the previous condition once we pay. Also there are no fool proof tools to recover the data without the key to decrypt.

The best thing what we can do is to PREVENT the infection.

We advise you to take following precautions to prevent ransom ware infection in your personal or office computers.

1. Please make periodical backup of all the valuable is data. This will ensure data security and so a complete format of hard disk and reinstallation of operating system will solve the issue.
2. Use a licensed antivirus and anti-malware system and do periodical updates. Also care about the warning messages that the antivirus gives when we open a website, new email or new software.
3. Don’t open any attachments from an email id which is unknown or suspicious. Email attachments are a major source of ransomware infection.
4. Don’t install speed boosting spam softwares which are available for free installation. Many of these software’s presence in your PC increase security vulnerability.

Prevention much better that trying for cure in the case of ransomware infection in your computer.  So be always aware of this threat and take precautions when working on your computer to save your data, money, information and time!
